Northgate Trails is located just 10 minutes from Dauphin and offers year-round fat biking trails.
Where can you fat bike in Northgate Trails?
Where you can fat bike in Northgate Trails depends on the season.
- Non-snow season (spring, summer, fall): Any trail in the network is suitable for fat bikes.
- Winter (snow season): Fat bikes are allowed on all trails except for Edwards Creek Connector Trail.
We encourage riders to use the groomed winter trails to help pack down and improve conditions.
Groomed Winter Trails
The following trails are usually groomed in the winter:

- Gatehouse
- Bobsled
- Sunday Drive
- Slim Jim
- Ol’ Chap
- Dirt Nap
- Depending on conditions, we may also groom Jersey Shore and Crop Duster.

- Ride within your limits and walk features you aren’t ready for.
- Follow marked routes and respect closures.
- All trails are numbered with markers.
- In an emergency, EMS can reference these markers to locate and assist you.

Pedal-assist e-bikes are permitted. Throttled e-bikes and dirt bikes are not permitted.
