Trail Conditions

December 26

Trail conditions for fat biking are improving as the snow surface “firms up”.  Snowshoers are welcome on all groomed trails. Edwards trail connector has been groomed by our volunteers. Tire pressure recommended between 5-6 PSI. Get out and ride.

We got snow! Lots of it, and our grooming crew has been out setting up the trails. Our 5 km loop has bee groomed, but requires some snowshoe and bike traffic to firm up. Volunteer crews will be out this weekend grooming other trails in the network, and have also groomed the Edwards Creek link in RMNP. It's a great addition to our winter network. Grooming crew doing their job!

Northgate finally got snow - about 10 cm, and our trail grooming crew has been out with the snow dogs. The 10 km loop has been groomed (Parkline, Gatehouse, Sunday Drive, Bobsled, Dirtnap, Gaylene's Garden, Slim Jim and the COOP Family trail). Trail conditions are still a bit soft, as the snow we received is dry - and the temps are very cold. A trail groomer went for a fat bike ride and suggested about 4.5 psi for tire pressure in these conditions. Snowshoers are welcome, as the more snowshoe traffic the better the trail conditions will become.
